Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, guided the test of a new-type anti-air guided weapon system to estimate its performance.
He was greeted by KPA Air Force General Choe Yong Ho, commander of the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force, and officials in the sector of national defence science.
Under his observation, AA rockets were fired to accurately hit mock enemy aerial targets.
The test verified that the performance of the new-type AA guided weapon system is perfect in the light of the latest military sci-tech requirements.
He expressed great satisfaction over the successful test, terming the success another striking demonstration of the validity of the Party’s policy of attaching importance to science and technology of national defence and the rapidly growing defence capability of the DPRK.
Accompanying him were Ri Man Gon, Ri Pyong Chol, Jo Yong Won, Hong Yong Chil, Kim Jong Sik and Yun Tong Hyon.
